"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze" (Isaiah 43:2).

Heavenly Father, trouble has not come knocking; it has stormed into my life. I'm having difficulty making decisions. Everything feels like the worst has happened, and there is no way out. I need help. I need your help. As fast as troubled waters flooded in, so also has your word and promises. Jesus, you are with me, so I'm not going to be swept away. Fiery trials may heat up, but you're with me in the fire. I lift up my eyes to heaven from where my help comes. Hurry, Lord Jesus, for you made me and all that is with your power. I will rest in your love. You see my difficulty. You know the anguish of my soul. I choose your peace over anxiety, though I don't feel it yet. My mind is fixed on prayer. My heart is filled with thanksgiving. I will await your promised peace that surpasses all understanding. Please don't be long, Lord Jesus. Come in power with healing and resolution. In Jesus' name, Amen.
