A Devotion by Jack Manor

Thought: We fear for what we love. With our parents, age-related sickness and degenerative quality of life makes us fearful. With our children, we fear for their safety, daily provision, and future. God knows our fears and helps us not be overcome by this: whatever we love, we should give to God. There is no place more secure than to be in God's hands.
Verse: "God is our refuge and strength, and ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, . . . The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress" (Psalm 46:1-2, 7).
Quote: "Security is our nearness to God, not our distance from danger." -- Kenneth R. Hendren
